The lobby of Kroger’s corporate headquarters was originally designed to provide a limited access and services for two tenants in a downtown Cincinnati high rise building. Under the renovation program, the Kroger Company was to maintain their corporate offices in the building while freeing up a large amount of tenant space with the relocation of their long-time co-tenant. To encourage multiple tenant occupancy for the building the lobby was extensively renovated to be more open and inviting. MSA re-planned the lobby relocating a large security station and exterior entrances. Interior space was added to the lobby by capturing under utilized exterior space. All interior surfaces were lightened; granite floors, travetine and plaster walls and granite display shelves replaced dark tile floors and dated finishes. MSA provided complete interior design consultation to Kroger including planning finish selections as well as art and artifact selections.
